The MDL-1000’s flat design makes it perfect to fit in any device that doesn’t have the space in height. The MDL-1000 is made for OEM applications and due to its very versatile nature it is used in a lot of markets, ranging from postal, retail, warehouses, healthcare and ticketing.

How we describe the MDL-1000

The MDL-1000 is a small laser scanner that scans at a speed of 100 scans per second. The engine comes with a decoder that outputs the scanned information in a serial interface. The engine weighs only 10 grams (0.35 oz) and the dimensions are as followed: 28 x 7.8 x 18 mm.

For the testing and evaluating of this scan engine we have a development board, the MEK-3100. This separately sold development kit enables you to evaluate the scan engine without the need to develop any electronics or cables. Take a look at the kit here.
