Job description
In the R&D department we are looking to fill an open position for an embedded software engineer. Your task will be to develop embedded software, mainly for microcontroller-based products, such as barcode data collectors and electronic shelf labels. You will be involved from the first product concept to the final production version. As member of a team of experienced software and hardware engineers, you will work on your own projects, in which you are responsible in consultation with the manager, being given the freedom to organize them as you see fit.

Requirements

• Minimum education: HBO technology (for example Computer Science)
• Good communication and cooperation skills
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages
• Affinity with electronics (understanding how digital and analog circuits work)
• Solid experience with programming embedded software in C
• Good grasp of controlling digital subsystems of microcontrollers and connected interface ICs (ability to understand and apply the information in datasheets)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with an RTOS
• Experience with embedded Linux (Yocto)
• Experience with software development with and for Linux or Android
• Experience with ARM microcontrollers
• Experience with more than one microcontroller architecture
• Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy and/or 802.15.4
